Chicago Ram Pran Pratishta Rally Marks Historic Journey Through 11 Temples

Chicago, December 23, 2023 - In a vibrant display of unity and devotion, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America's Chicago Chapter organized a spectacular "Car Rally Mandir Invitation Marathon" on December 23, 2023. The rally took participants on a spiritual journey through 11 temples across the Northwest Chicagoland area, culminating in an invitation to the Shree Ram Mandir Ayodhya Pran Pratishtha Pujan.

The rally, which attracted over 100 cars and more than 200 Hindus from the Chicagoland area, commenced at the Hanuman Mandir in Glen View and concluded at the BAPS Swami Narayan Temple in Bartlett, IL. The participating temples included YDS Swami Narayan Temple, Haridham Temple, Jalaram Mandir, Manav Sewa Mandir, Gayatri Gyan Mandir, Hari Om Mandir, Radhey Shyam Mandir, Chicago Kali Bari Temple, Umiya Mata Temple, and BAPS Swami Narayan Temple.

The event began with a grand Puja at the Hanuman Mandir, setting a spiritual tone for the entire rally. Each temple along the route received a heartfelt invitation to the Shree Ram Mandir Ayodhya Pran Pratishtha Pujan, courtesy of the Vishwas Hindu Parishad of America. Shri Amitabh Mittal, the General Secretary, presented each temple with a statue of Ram Parivar, Kalash, Holy Water of Gangotri, Shri Hanuman Sunderkand books, and Sankalp Patra.

The idea for this monumental rally was conceived by Dipen Shah (Joy), who suggested visiting temples on December 18th in a local WhatsApp group. From the inception of the idea to its execution on December 23rd, Harendra Mangrola, President of the Chicago Chapter, and his dedicated team of volunteers worked tirelessly. Their efforts included confirming route options, establishing contact with temple priests and management, and coordinating the logistics of the rally.

Harendra Mangrola expressed his joy, stating, "This is the dream of generations. From 1528 to today, after 795 years of waiting, it is finally over. We invite all to attend and be part of this historical day."

The responsibility of arranging flags and route planning fell on Nirav Patel and Dipen Joy Shah, while Anurag Awasthi took charge of creating a simple and efficient traffic avoidance plan. Participants of all ages, from 5-year-old kids to 90-year-old individuals, came together to make the rally a memorable and joyous occasion.

As the rally unfolded, the spirit of unity and devotion resonated, making it a historic and significant event for the Hindu community in the Chicagoland area.
